Its been a very busy spring here at the Sharp house. Between work, vacations, storm chasing and many projects time has flown by and I’ve missed a couple months of posting the “Photo of the Month”. So even though its July 5th and I have a huge amount of photos I took during the month of June it was rather easy to pick the cream of the crop. Even with storm chasing all around the Midwest and Great Plains the photo of the month is from Iowa.
The June photo of the month is of a stormy sky over a rural Iowa farm south of the Parkersburg, Iowa.
This was a beautiful and fun thunderstorm to watch. The rotation was rapid with this storm, but fortunately it never produced a tornado and no damage was reported with the severe storm. To me this is an iconic photo that exemplifies Iowa during the spring. Crops growing in the field with the help of the spring rains.
I have many photography projects in the works this summer. Be sure to keep an eye on my galleries for new photos of all types. Until then be sure to keep on taking photos!
