July 2017 Photo of the Month

The 7th month of the year has come and gone and we’re now in the latter portions of summer as we head into August. This past month I didn’t take many photos because of my knee surgery and ongoing recovery. I did however get out for one trip in July and took some photos of insects and wildflowers at Ledges State Park south of Boone, IA. From that batch the photo below was my favorite and is July’s photo of the month.

3 busy bumble bees working the wild flowers at Ledges State Park.

As we head into August I’m excited and looking forward to getting out again. My knee recovery is on course and if all goes well I’ll have enough mobility in the knee to be able to drive by mid month. Once that happens I plan on heading out for several astrophotography projects that I’m very excited about. August will be the month I get my photography grove back on!

Until the next time get out, explore, and take pictures because you never know what you may find!.
